My Story
Background:
Degree in Voice from University of West Ga. Atlanta Symphony chorus, staff singer St. Phillips and Druid Hills United Methodist. Soloist and founding member of Camerati, one of the first early music groups in the Atlanta area. Presently I am soprano soloist at Nativity Lutheran Church in Austell.
What drew you to becoming a singer with FSA?
After performing with Camerati for about 12 years, our director moved to Chattanooga and we sadly disbanded. I was looking for a new group to sing with and heard about the Festival Singers of Atlanta. After attending a concert, I was hooked!
What keeps you coming back?
The Festival Singers has been through many iterations over the years. It has remained a smaller group than most which is what drew me to it as well as its excellence. I have enjoyed the music and the lovely people who are dedicated members. I am happy to have an outlet for my love of singing.
What is your vision for the future of The Festival Singers of Atlanta?
I would love to grow our numbers, but not by too much. There are plenty of large groups in the area but I enjoy our smaller numbers.
Why should someone join The Festival Singers of Atlanta?
Anyone who enjoys learning and performing as well as getting to know a really great group of like minded singers would be welcome to join us. You will learn vocal technique and lots of interesting and beautiful music. What could be more fun?
